How Synchrony Financing Works at Paddlers Cove

Important: Synchrony is not a checkout payment option on this site. You will not see it on the payment screen. Financing is processed in person with our team. Follow the steps below to complete a Synchrony purchase.

Apply with Synchrony. Click the Apply Now button below. You will be taken to Synchrony's secure online application. Approval decisions are typically immediate.
If approved, call us. Phone (908) 835-0624 and ask for Jack. Let us know which items you would like to purchase.
Verification. Jack will verify your identity per Synchrony's requirements. Please have a valid government-issued ID ready (driver's license is fine). Synchrony may request additional verification depending on your application.
Complete the purchase. Once verified, Jack processes the financed purchase on the Synchrony side and arranges pickup or shipping. You walk away with your gear and a 6-month interest-free plan.

What qualifies for financing?

Any purchase of $999 or more, including kayaks, paddles, electronics, and accessories. Combined orders that total $999 or more also qualify. Most kayak purchases at Paddlers Cove fall into this range.

Common questions

Why can't I just check out with Synchrony on the site?
Synchrony purchases require dealer verification of your identity, which we handle in person or by phone. Online checkout cannot complete a Synchrony transaction without that step.

How long does the application take?
Most applicants get a decision in under a minute online. The phone verification call takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

What if I get declined?
You will still see all of our regular checkout options (credit card, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay) at the standard checkout, with no impact to your Paddlers Cove account.

Do I have to call right after I'm approved?
You have 30 days from approval to complete a purchase. If you need more time, just give us a call when you are ready.
