The Carbon Hybrid SUP paddle is made, rather obviously, of a carbon hybrid material. That’s because carbon is a remarkably lightweight material that is still incredibly strong, so you don’t waste strength on moving your paddle instead of pushing the water, but your paddle won’t break the first time it hits a rock, either. It’s designed for racing, with its speed and lightness, or surfing, because you won’t hit much that can damage your paddle past a few scratches on the surface.
